good morning, everyone!

today’s the day! fresno is ready to start the occupation and stand in solidarity with the protestors in OWS. :)

peace fresno’s final day of demonstration will be held in riverpark (el paso and blackstone) from 1-2pm. there, we will be passing out flyers for occupy fresno. if you want to help out with anything, i suggest approaching someone with a stack of flyers. there will be a few of us out there today!

after the demonstration, a few of us will go downtown to figure out the parking and bathroom situation. for now, we suggest everyone try carpooling or using public transportation. i will look into bus schedules for those of you willing to do that. or if you can, try to get dropped off until we get the parking thing situated.

the occupation will begin at 5pm at the courthouse park. the park is located on van ness, between tulare and fresno. bring sleeping bags, extra tents, blankets, pillows, lanterns if you have any, etc.

please dress warmly and comfortably! it will be cold and we will be out there all night, so keep this in mind!

i hope to see you out there! there is for sure a group of us staying the night (me  being one of them, so come over and hang out with us!) if you can’t spend the night, we understand. if you can, come show your support for a couple hours. :) we’d appreciate any company!

PLEASE REMEMBER: THIS IS A PEACE DEMONSTRATION! WE ARE IN NO WAY ADVOCATING OR CONDONING VIOLENCE. we’re trying to be good neighbors, let’s not stir up any trouble, please!
